The BREDS Source Treasure Beach

Touted to be the only Source that mixes business with pleasure in Bali style, the Breds Source fits perfectly into the quaint little resort town of Treasure Beach, offering all the amenities of the corporate world with the feel of a vacation. Formed out of a partnership with the Treasure Beach Foundation (BREDS) and the Jamaica National Building Society Foundation, the Breds Source was launched in April 2009 by Member of Parliament and Minister of Agriculture, Christopher Tufton and Hotelier and Businessman Jason Henzell. Since then the Breds Source has been the new hang-out spot for gamers in the area and tourists who want to skype, use email or print photos of their vacation. The Source is also the home of the Treasure Beach Foundation or as it is called the BREDS office. The Breds Source was built at a cost of J$3.5 million with another J$1 million for operational support on a sliding scale over the period of one year. The Jamaica National Building Society will manage the Source for one year, at the end of which The Treasure Beach Foundation will take over its management. The sustainability of all Source centres is crucial to the success of the programme and its replication across the island. The Breds Source is the third such installment of the Source programme and boasts a daily interface with international visitors as well as Jamaicans.
