

Introduction
At each Annual General Meeting (AGM), Jamaica National Building Society members vote to select community projects deserving of support from the Society. The JNBS Foundation is responsible for guiding the AGM projects over the period.
JNBS 08 AGM Projects (Total J$800,000)
At the 2008 AGM, two projects, the Gayle Health Centre and the Fish Medical Centre were selected to receive assistance.
The Gayle Health Centre – St. Mary
Funds were allocated to re-roof the records department, complete the perimeter fencing and repair a damaged wall at the front of the premises.
Fish Medical Clinic – St. Andrew
The Foundation for International Self Help (FISH) Medical Clinic received approval for funding in the amount of $400,000 to correct the vision of 120 local young students diagnosed earlier in the year. The students from Sandhurst, Chevannes, Miracle and Hope SDA Basic Schools in the communities of Tavern, Kintyre and its environs were provided with glasses and medication where necessary, at no cost to their families.
