Action springs not from thought, but from a readiness for responsibility
Introduction
Piloted by the loyal members of Jamaica National Building Society, the JN Foundation’s Member Advisory Council (MAC) has provided grant funding for some 184 community projects since its inception in 2006. It’s one more successful venture of the JN Group: carrying out its corporate social responsibility through social enterprise at the community level.
It’s the JNBS members who identify the projects within their communities which they feel will have the greatest impact: provide opportunities for training and employment and improve the lives of its citizens on a sustainable basis. All JNBS branches and JN Moneyshops are integrally involved in the MAC and the Branch Managers and their team of JN members ensure that projects are undertaken in as many communities within their parishes as possible.
