Hurricane Melissa Recovery Efforts in Jamaica
Everyone needs a helping hand in times of need.
Hurricane Melissa, October 2025
Hurricane Melissa, a powerful category five storm, is forecast to be the worst storm in the country’s history. Many are comparing Hurricane Melissa to Hurricane Charlie (1951) and Hurricane Gilbert (1988), which were two of Jamaica’s most catastrophic hurricanes. Melissa is expected to have even more devastating impact than Charlie and Gilbert.
